- During this service we will commemorate the Last Supper by observing Holy Communion.
April 3: Good Friday Duke Gardens Walk – 1:30 p.m.
- “There was a garden in the place where Jesus was crucified…” (John 19:41a). Pastor Denise (volunteer docent at the Gardens) will lead a meditative walk through Duke Gardens, with resting stops as needed. We will contemplate the suffering of Jesus while walking through the quiet and beauty of the Gardens. Meet at Amity UMC at 1:30 p.m. to ride the bus. Sign up HERE
April 3: Good Friday Worship – 7:00 p.m.
- Join us for a reflective Good Friday service, featuring scripture from the Passion story alongside modern accounts of struggle, compassion, and hope, with special musical selections and solos.
April 5: Easter Sunday Worship
- 6:30 a.m. – Sunrise in Courtyard
- 8:30 a.m. & 10:30 a.m. –
- These two identical services will celebrate the joy of Easter through triumphant music led by the Chancel Choir and a chamber ensemble with trumpets, culminating in the “Hallelujah Chorus” from Handel’s Messiah.
Join us for a celebratory egg hunt on the church grounds after the 8:30 or 10:30 a.m. service.
We invite you to bring flowers to decorate the cross outside the church on Easter Sunday.
