In consultation with the Superintendent of Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools, the clergy associated with area churches and synagogues have developed a plan to provide supplemental nutrition to students affected by school closures.  Volunteers are needed at the lunch pickup sites. Those wishing to volunteer will need to make that decision for themselves with each new phase in our country’s COVID-19 response. Please make the best choice for you and those closest to you about whether to volunteer. If you are comfortable with volunteering, you can sign up here

University UMC raised over $15,705 for the CHCCS nutrition fund! Thank you to everyone who donated to this cause.

TABLE is always in need of additional food to support our kids. However, due to concerns over the virus, we do have especially limited access to the quantities of food we need to support our kids weekly.

  • You may easily order the food TABLE needs through our Amazon Wishlist and have it mailed to TABLE at 209 E. Main St., Carrboro, NC 27510. Items are quickly moving in and out of stock and some prices are extremely high, so look closely!
  • Review our Most Needed Items List and purchase from other online sellers like Target and have it mailed directly to our address at 209 E. Main St., Carrboro, NC 27510

We are continuing to collect food for IFC to help feed those in need. Jeff and Karin Foarde are coordinating this effort. If you have filled your Project 5000 box, take it to the Foardes’ home and leave it in their carport. They will transport it to the IFC. If you need a box, you may also pick one up in their carport. Contact Jeff or Karin if you have any questions. If you would rather contribute a monetary donation, click here and select Project 5000 from the drop down menu.
