Come prepare Care Packages for our homeless neighbors on November 2, 9:30-11 a.m. at the IFC Community Kitchen (100 W. Rosemary Street, Chapel Hill, NC 27516).
We will fill Ziploc bags with food, hygiene items, hand-written notes, and the OC Resources Guide. Please help by purchasing any of the items below and by handwriting notes. Bring them with you on Saturday morning or drop them off at the office ahead of time.
Winter items, especially gloves, hats, socks, and water bottles are critical.
Protein- Peanut butter/cheese crackers; Beef jerky; Tuna/chicken salad cracker kits; Breakfast/ cereal bars /protein bars
Hygiene/Health – Hand lotion; Advil or similar; Bandages (big ones to cover blisters are nice); Lip balm; Nail clippers; Wet wipes
Carbs -Applesauce/pudding Snack cups; Raisins/dried fruit/Fruit snacks; Lifesavers or mints |
