Children’s Choir Begins

You are welcome to join our choir, because a choir is inclusive!

The children’s choirs at University UMC are not built of superstars. Some singers have big voices and some have quiet voices, but all of them are welcome, and each of them makes a contribution. Some have sung for years, and some are just beginning to sing. Some read music, and some choir members have not learned to do that yet. Our choirs include all those who want to sing! Any child who is willing can make a contribution and be part of the deeply satisfying experience of making music together. In a choir, we each add a voice. We combine our different voices into one pleasing sound. With our choir sound we lead worship, and we praise God!

Sunday September 10 is the first rehearsal date for Jubilee Choir and Cherub Choir. Choristers and families are invited to attend this rehearsal, held in the Chapel. We will do lots of singing as well as talk about the fall schedule. Some paperwork is involved, so parents we need you there too! Jubilee Choir meets at 3:45 p.m., Cherub Choir meets at 5:15 p.m.
