MLK Jr. Day

University UMC will not be hosting a MLK Day of Service at the church this year, but will be joining in the community activities on Monday, January 21, hosted by the local NAACP chapter. Please consider joining in any or all of the below activities with members of our congregation and community.
A Youth Rally will be held at Peace and Justice Plaza across Franklin Street starting at 9:00 a.m. It is for all, and yet there is a focus on Youth participating in the rally. Those attending the rally will then march down to First Baptist Church (106 North Roberson Street) in time to arrive at 10:00 a.m. for coffee and conversations. The interfaith service will start at 11:00 and will end around 12:30 p.m.
